"Over All Over Again" is a song recorded by Canadian country group James Barker Band. The song was co-written past the band's frontman James Barker, along with Gavin Slate, Travis Wood, and producer Todd Clark.[1] It was their first unmarried released after signing with Sony Music Nashville and Villa 40 in the United States.[ii]

The ring's frontman James Barker wrote "Over All Over Again" with his co-writers during a two-twenty-four hours locked-down writing session in Nashville, Tennessee during the COVID-19 pandemic.[three] He said it "felt like the right song at the correct time" to be their outset unmarried on a U.S. characterization with Sony Music Nashville and Villa 40.[4] Barker noted inspiration from Ronnie Milsap's "Smoky Mount Rain", viewing at equally a "refreshed" version of the ring's music and their introduction to Nashville.[5] He said there is a "kind of blueness to it from the darkness of the chords and tune, but the tempo keeps it clear of any gloomy territory".[4]

"Over All Over again" reached a peak of number one on Billboard Canada Land nautical chart for the week of September 25, 2021,[10] becoming the ring's third chart-topper in their home land.[xi] It besides peaked at number 68 on the Canadian Hot 100 for the calendar week of Baronial 21, 2021, marking their highest charting entry in that location, later surpassed by the song'due south follow-up unmarried "New Old Trucks" in 2022.[12]
